Feather Foot's ~Peace~
Now for a little bit about the person behind the nick. I lived in Queensland for 26 years and would venture down to the Gold Coast as often as I could. I once thought the Gold Coast was the most beautiful place on earth ... until I visited Canberra in 1997. That's when I discovered what real beauty was. Lakes, fountains, snow falls ... it was so tranquil. I now live in Canberra and love it here. The weather is so ... so WOW !!! Never humid, no floods, cool in Summer and cold enuf in Winter to throw a dose of hypothermia into you if you are silly enuf to go swimming *grin*
I am an internet and pinball junkie, and spend considerable time on the net surfing or flapping my gums in the chat rooms. My most used chat programs are mIRC, ICQ and that at The Pink Sofa! I have made many great cyber friends in the various chat rooms that I visit, and wander in as often as time permits me. :) You get the occasional spammer in these rooms, but I guess some people can't help being lamers hey *shrug*. Once you become a spammer, you know you have reached the highest point in Lamerville. So when you get there - say g'day to Pauline Hanson - she will welcome you with open arms *giggles*.
People often ask me how I got the nick "Feather Foot". Feather Foot (Cadiche) is an aboriginal name .... the most feared name within the aboriginal community. Feather Foot casts punishment amongst the tribal people, and if you are at the wrong end of "pointing the bone" which is what Feather Foot is renound for, you will surely die. Most days now, though, people just know me as Rosie :)
I share a house with my cats Muffin, Holly and Bambi - three beautiful furbabies - who seem to have more say in what happens in my home than I do. Muffin considers himself to be "Lord of the Manor" at which I scoff. He is nothing but a cheeky little bugger....a cute one at that :P But no matter how cheeky he gets, I couldn't possibly love him any more than I do. He is a very important part of my family and my life :) Holly and Bambi enjoy frequent recreational periods sneaking up on Muffin and giving him a major dose of "Fat Tail". I think cats developed this condition because they don't know how to swear when they get such a fright! Each of these furbabies are my world, as I, myself, recently discovered during the Canberra firestorm on January 18, 2003. I knew I could not get them out safely, so I refused to evacuate and stayed to douse the flames that took my garden and almost took my home - a day that none of us will ever forget!
As far as hobbies go, I love to do many things,
some of which include pistol shooting, the Potterverse, fishing, Potterama, martial arts,
Pottermania, archery and ten pin bowling - and before I forget - anything to do
with Harry
Potter. But after a spinal injury or two, and as a sufferer of agoraphobia,
am no longer able to do the things I once loved so much. I am also an avid
watcher of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CSI Miami, Grey's Anatomy, and Days of our lives... with other favourites being Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Tru Calling, Charmed, Monk and
Harry's Practice. I also love watching golden oldies such as Prisoner, Night
Court, Dragnet - and did I mention Buffy?...not that I am addicted to the show,
mind you. Buffy, Spike, Willow, Angel, Xander and Giles........ohhhh yeahhhh :)
I am also a wrestling
freak.....and aspire to one day be (The Icon) Rowdy Rod Piper's Kilt; or (The
Nature Boy) Ric Flair's shorts.....or any part of Sting that moves !!! Right now
however, the hottest wrestler alive is most definately GOLDBERG !!! :D Whenever
WWF is on cable, not even an earthquake could move me from my lounge chair!!!!!

The one thing I enjoy more than anything though (although WWF comes a very
close second) is a good laugh. My favourite comedians of all time is Australia's
very own Rodney
Rude whom I have seen a number of times live and always leaves me in
stitches, and America's funny man Jim Gaffigan - a distinguished member of the Legion of Pale :) My favourite cartoons are Futurama, King of the Hill, and the
world's second cutest cat - Garfield. I originally typed in that he was the
cutest, but after the bleeding eventually stopped from Muffin's claw marks on my
leg, I soon changed it.
I was raised by my father with many values, and stand by them at all times. I can't stand any form of racism, violence or dishonesty, and believe in being true to the people I love and care for. I take people at face value, and if they are pleasant, I am happy to know them.
